Pirates Cove

Its always exciting to explore new territory with great potentials of finding the Forrest Fenn Treasure! This location is no exception. I found a great WWWH area with warm springs that led to a magical waterfall. I followed it in “the canyon down” to a sweet Beaver Pond, serving as HOB (Home of Brown). No place for the meek? Indeed! The altitude and drop from the cliffside near the animal trail that I followed took concentration and balance to maintain sure footing that led to several alluring caves with soft sandy bottoms. And now, we come to the blaze…. the carving of a long narrowing tunnel, inside the cave that may have been an escape route, crawling into darkness, requiring a headlamp to see. A “Blazing of a trail”? Inside the cave was clean soft sand. Certainly a comforting and pristine place to leave ones bones to rest, embracing the ancient bronze treasure box. Peace. Tranquility. Serenity. Seclusion. Views to gaze upon till one’s Spirit leaves the body and lite is all there is…

It began to rain, so I sat inside the cave savoring my lunch du jour, and crunched on the fresh picked apple from the tree I found along the way. I spent a half hour in deep thought, examining all of the solves to the clues in the poem in this spot while rain danced on the leaves. Looking more inside the cave, I found no treasure there. Although it was a very cool place to discover.  I sat longer, gazing out at the views of the Rain Glazed World…
